Amanda trained as a QbTech Assessor after having her own son assessed and becoming very aware of how expensive the process was. A Qbtech report offers a cost-effective way of helping children and adults with ADHD symptoms get the support they needed and quickly.
Qbtech's FDA approved ADHD assessment program is designed to confirm or rule-out the possibility of ADHD and is suitable for both children and adults. it has been subject to over 35 independent studies, has an 80% accuracy rate and is now recommended by NICE (National Institute of Clinical Excellence, UK), as part of the diagnostic process.
You will receive a full report, which is suitable as evidence for:
- Educational Health Care Plan Applications (EHCPs)
- Referal by your GP to an NHS specialist for a full diagnosis
- Support in educational settings/at work while you are awaiting a diagnosis

What to expect

Before we can book you in for a test you'll be sent a pre-test form (also downloadable at the bottom of this page) to ensure an ADHD assessment is appropriate. Once we've confirmed this, a day/time can be arranged and you'll be asked to complete a Consent Form.
On arrival you'll be asked to take a seat, while the process is explained (there are plenty of fidget toys, which test-takers are encouraged to use while we set-up).
The test is conducted under clinical conditions within the therapy room at Brent Knoll. This ensure minimal distractions. You will be asked to:
- Turn-off your mobile phone
- Remove any jewellery and/or headgear
- Tie back long hair
After the therapists inputs the information from the pre-test, you will then be shown a brief training video so you know what to expect from the test, and you will be asked to position yourself within view of the pc monitor's camera. This is so the QbCheck test can record your movements during the test. It does not take or save any pictures of you.
You will be asked to complete a 'practice run', before starting the test.
The test lasts for 15 minutes for 6-11 year-olds and 20 minutes for 12-60 year-olds
The results will usually be emailed to you within 2-3 working days.
