online counselling

Play, Creative Play and Talking Therapies

Children and Young People are usually quite comfortable with working online, Skype can be a useful alternative to visiting the therapy room.  This method has proved useful for clients wishing to continue their sessions when they have moved away to University, for example. During the current CORVID-19 outbreak many of the traditional creative and play therapies have been adapted for use online. Worksheets and games can also be emailed to clients in advance of their sessions (access to a printer is useful). With young children, typically a session will start by exploring their own favourite toys and games (one of the advantages of online therapy).

Skype and Zoom are GDPR compliant and the counsellor's commitment to confidentiality is the same as face-to-face counselling. So everything you tell me online is 100 % confidential (there exceptions regarding harm to self and others, but this is discussed during the initial assessment and first session).

Cancellations made within 48 hours of the appointment will not be charged but “no shows” and cancellations with less than 48 hours notice will be charged for in full. If you need to cancel your appointment please call (or text)  07535 673665
